I had an interesting dream recently. In my dream I was meeting my friend’s extended family for the first time. Some of them shook my hand, some hugged me & one kissed my cheek upon meeting them.
In my dream I have this feeling that something is not right.. I’m not nervous meeting these people but there’s a nervous feeling in my consciousness which I cannot recognize. But I am asleep and this is only a dream, so it’s not my consciousness at work, it’s my subconsciousness..
I woke up & immediately remembered my dream. I tried to figure out what was this odd feeling I experienced. And then I realized it.. nobody was wearing a mask! I was not wearing a mask... they were not wearing a mask and we were not practicing social distancing.
Have any of you experienced dreams like this recently? This was an example of experiencing PTSD in my dream. Post traumatic stress disorder.. but for this year’s relevance let’s call it post traumatic social distancing. Many are talking about the effects of what’s happening today with Covid spreading throughout the world and how this will affect all of us in the future: adults, kids, teenagers and young children alike.
In the case of my dream what was actually happening was my subconscious mind was reminding me to protect myself and wear a mask. When we practice sophrology we consciously practice exercises to bring calm and joy into our lives and manage stress and anxiety. We consciously practice sophrology so that it becomes a habit. We use it automatically when faced with challenging situations. It provides us with the armor to act, rather than react, in a calm manner. When we are calm we make better decisions because we can think clearly.
It is important to try not to worry during these challenging times. We can sometimes manifest what we worry about. Sophrology has helped many people deal with anxiety and fear. I can help you to be calm, courageous and confident. It is important to stay positive during these times. Not just for yourself but for your loved ones.
For new clients I am offering a buy one get one free for only $84. This would normally cost $170.
